"Yes problem"
communication
What is a good response to “thank you”?
I make it a point to never say “no problem”. It begs questions:
- “Was there a problem in the first place?”
- “Was it an inconvenience for you to help me?”
Alternatives to “no problem” that I like to use:
- “Sure thing”: neutral cheery phrase.
- “My pleasure!”: genuinely kind phrase.
“np” as an abbreviation is more acceptable to me than “no problem”, but I still choose not to use it.
